Iraq Vet Dissed by His Rep...
Dear peace activists, and Dennis Moore's office
I just wanted to share a short story with you about an experience I had on Sept 14 in Lenexa, Kansas at the Viet Nam traveling wall. While there with a good friend of mine Dave Quinley I was not allowed to enter the event and was quickly ushered out by a character who was not even a war veteran because of my status with the Iraq Veterans Against the War. As I waited out front of the event on the corner here came my Representative Dennis Moore being drop off at the event so that he could speak at the event. I quickley approach Dennis Moore and began to state that I was an Iraq Veteran and before I could finish He shook my hand and I then stated to him that I was not being allowed to enter the event. Dennis Moore then got a better look at me and must have been able to read those big words on my t-shirt Iraq Veterans Against the War because he quickly turned away and began to leave as if I did not even exist to him. I then raised my voice so that he could here me as he left in a hurry and stated "Dennis Moore I am an Iraq Veteran. Why have you not returned my phone calls. I need help with the VA administration. I am not getting the help I need." Dennis Moore just keep on going as if I was nothing. Like I was not good enough to talk to. Dennis Moore I just want you to know I am going to do everything I can in my power to take you out of power. I also want you to know that my boys will be raised learning the truth about war and peoople like yourself.
Have a nice day, I look forward to protesting you at another event.
Note: Perhaps Rep. Moore needs to hear from a few other people, including other vets, about disrespecting and ignoring his constituent ... especially when he's a veteran!
